While grouping with friends and other players is a good way to have fun, there is a degree of awesomeness that comes from soloing the hardest of bosses or that difficult quest. Elder Scrolls Online gives the player the ability to use any weapon or armor for a character, which begs the question; What class is the best for soloing? Of the four eso classes, the best class for riveting solo play is Nightblade.

The Nightblade class has the versatility and adaptability to deal with the majority of quests with something more than brute force or soul wrenching magic. Stuns and crowd control skills help from being overwhelmed by a horde of enemies. Stealth is great for that moment a player wants to bypass the enemy or catch him unaware. When wearing medium armor and using daggers, bonuses assist in giving the Nightblade class high damage per second while providing good resiliency to incoming hits.

As with the other classes in ESO, there are three skill categories for the Nightblade: Assassin, Shadow, and Siphoning. All three have benefits for solo play. Siphoning gives Soul Shred and Agony, important skills for soloing.
bosmer nightbladeSoul Shred does high area of effect damage and stuns surrounding targets. Agony is a DOT and moderately timed stun. While the player is maneuvering for position the stunned enemy is taking damage. Shadow skills provide stealth and surprise for the solo player. Shadow Cloak, an invisibility power that while limited in duration, can be used at any time even during combat. Best of all, it does not fade with damage. Veiled Strike stuns enemies and does signific
ant damage. Crowd controlling the target while taking his health down reduces the time it takes and the damage taken to the solo player. Assassin skills Mark Target and Haste are great for maximizing damage output meaning faster take downs for the soloist.

Regardless of either a focused build or hybrid, the player who likes to solo should take a serious look at the Elder Scrolls Online Nightblade class. The potential for good damage per second and the ability to maneuver stealthily create a lethal combination. Coupled with crowd control abilities, ESO Nightblade is capable enough to handle almost any strategy or situation.

The Thieves Guild
Only for the sneaky and stealthy, this guild’s focus is on getting in and out without being seen. Members can be hired out to steal items or explore ancient dungeons for treasure. You also gain access to guild safe-houses that allow you to sell stolen items and get lock picks. Sneaky players who desire to stay in the shadows would benefit most from the opportunities that The Thieves Guild presents.

The Dark Brotherhood

If you are not afraid or ashamed to kill for money or fun The Dark Brotherhood will provide you with the necessary quests, skills, and connections to become the best.

Because of the Nightlbade’s natural skills in assassination and shadow, they are perfect candidates for The Dark Brotherhood’s skill bonuses. This pairing will likely get the most out of all that the elder scrolls Nightblade has to offer. The Thieves Guild is a close second but the assassination bonuses from The Dark Brotherhood are a better fit for a Nightblade

The Nightblade is The Elder Scrolls Online’s assassin or rogue-style class. Quick and deadly, the Nightblade specializes in stealth, life-leeching poisons and taking down enemies as efficiently and silently as possible. They do especially well when wielding dual daggers or short swords and medium armor.

While playing solo, a Nightblade will primarily be able to pick and choose their battles while sneaking around areas that might be dangerous for other classes especially the eso sorcerer to solo. When grouping with other classes, however, the Nightblade will have to change their playstyle somewhat. Stealth can be be utilized, especially since other players can sneak while out of combat, but a Nightblade can provide a great deal of utility that’s helpful for any group composition.

stealth nightblade

Depending on what classes you are grouped with, you may find yourself as a pure DPS, a crowd controller or you may even serve as a group’s tank or offtank if another class isn’t equipped to handle the damage. Nightblades have a great deal of stuns and crowd control effects that can help them mitigate and avoid damage. What role you perform may also depend on your skill line.

Assassination Nightblade

Assassination Nightblades are exceptional at dealing damage and providing quick stuns. Make sure to use Mark Target and Blur if you find yourself taking damage from enemies. Concentrate on one enemy at a time and stun any enemies that go after your squishier party members. Remember to avoid and interrupt damage whenever possible.

Shadow Nightblade

Shadow Nightblades receive a great deal of benefits when attacking while stealthed. While stealth may not always be an option during group play, you will find that if you’re grouped with someone who can tank the enemies such as any type of Dragonknight, you can easily slip into stealth during combat and do what you’re best at. Make sure to keep Aspect of Terror and Veiled Strike handy if you need to provide crowd control.

Siphoning Nightblade

A Siphoning Nightblade provides a great deal of utility to their team. Soul Shred will come in handy if your group ever gets overwhelmed. Articles at www.elderscrollslevelingguide.com recommend to use Agony to crowd control if need be and use Cripple and Drain Power to weaken an enemy before it dies. Remember to interrupt and avoid damage whenever possible.

ESO Nightblade class can be powerful solo killers and also powerful allies as they slice and dice their way to victory while providing plenty of crowd control, stuns and impairment effects.

The Elder Scrolls Online offers a class called “Nightblade” which is one of the first 4 classes, and available with all 3 factions. The Nightblade class is a combination of stealth, evoker, and alchemy. If you choose to play as the Nightblade, here is a guide to help with creating, skills, and leveling up.

spiderbattle

Your first important choice when creating your player, is to choose the race that you want. Although this option is completely up to you, allow me to recommend a good race choice to accommodate your Nightblade character. A Dunmer, judging by the attributes that come along with this race, it will compliment your Nightblade greatly, which consists of light armory, mobility, stamina, blades and spells.

In The Elder Scrolls’ past, Dunmer have had bonuses attributes in light armor, illusion, and sneak, and these are great skills to prepare your stealthy Nightblade with. Of course you aren’t restricted to these skills alone, you can pick others you wish to add to your skills list, making your Nightblade something to fear.Another important thing you must remember is to choose your nightblade skills consciously. First when choosing a stealth oriented class, using light armor and weapons is a must, so shape skills around this fact. Sneak is going to be very significant with this class, especially in the shadows where you can take your victim down with one stab. You can also choose to level up Alchemy, Conjuration, and Mysticism skills, which will increase your magicka points, which are what produce spells. Another good strategy is to stick with certain spells and attacks, which will level them up quicker individually, than using several different actions.

Next, focus on how to accumulate experience points the quickest. Obviously in an MMO, the purpose is to kill enemies and finish quests and gain XP. Instead of slaughtering enemies that are under your level, go compete with enemies that are stronger than you in the gameplay, which will reward higher XP and items. Because a higher level opponent will be more difficult, fight smart. Fight from a distance, with a bow or spells, and also use your best friend; the shadows. Also do not forget that your surrounding terrain can assist when you might need to retreat and heal yourself. Also another way to earn XP is to finish side quests as they become available. Or joining a small party to help with a more larger quest, will also gain you more XP.

An MMO can always prove to be overwhelming and difficult in the beginning, but hopefully reading this guide ahead of time will make you more educated in a class you might want, and how to level up the quickest. You’ll find that learning the ropes was easier than expected.

The Nightblade is one of the first four playable classes for Elder Scrolls Online and will be available for all three factions. Their main abilities lend them to being great assassins and thieves; stealth, speed, and agility are their core attributes. Stamina will be important for Nightblades as it will be used to manage their stealth mode so it is crucial to have a great deal of it.

In July of this year the Nightblade skill tree was probably leaked from the third round of closed beta, which started on July 9th. The third round is currently the latest but with the official release being at least a half a year away –perhaps with one or two more rounds of closed beta before then– it is quite possible that there will be several changes to what is currently known about the Nightblade skill set. Currently there are three skill paths, Assassination, Shadow, and Siphoning; at present, each path has ten skills.

nightblade skill analysist

The Assassination skills can be split into three subcategories, passives, buffs, and direct attacks. For passives there is Pressure Points, which gives a 3% critical strike rating for each Assassination skill you have slotted. As to the buffs, there is Blur 1 which gives a 22% chance for a miss from your attackers for 20 seconds. Regarding the direct attacks, there is Teleport Strike 1 where you will appear next to your target after stepping through shadow and also Assassin’s Blade which will give 270% additional damage to targets with low health.

The Shadow skill path has several passives as well, including Refreshing Shadows, which boosts stamina regeneration each time you activate a Shadow ability by 30% for 6 seconds and Shadow Barrier, which lowers damage taken by 35% for 4 seconds once you come out of invisibility or a crouch. As for a more active attack, there is Veiled Strike 1 which stuns the enemy for 4 seconds while in stealth.

With the Siphoning path there is Cripple 1, which steals speed from your targets. Also, for passives, there is Catalyst which increases potion potency by 20% and Soul Siphoner, which gives an additional 15% healing from your Siphoning skills. Then there is Transfer, that gives 1 Ultimate with each siphoning ability that deals damage.

While these skills are subject to change they currently make the Nightblade class sound silent and deadly to all that cross their path.

Stealth Nightblade:Tips to Stay Invisible

In most games, when a player goes into stealth mode, he becomes completely invisible to his enemies. In an Elder Scrolls game however a player does not stealth in the typical sense. That is, he does not become invisible. Rather he crouches and is given some type of feedback by which to gage whether or not, or to what degree, his enemies have detected his presence. Lighter armors allow a player to move about undetected more easily, while heavier armors provide higher defensive bonuses but make a player more easy to detect. One unique aspect about Elder Scrolls Online is the fact that any player can stealth, regardless of class or specialization. Still, the Nightblade possesses several skills which either enhance stealth or allow him to remain undetected in situations where other classes might find themselves spotted.

Of the Nightblade’s three available skill lines, only the Shadow tree deals directly with stealth. Its Veiled Strike ability requires stealth to activate, and its Shadow Cloak ability grants the Nightblade full invisibility for a short time. Beyond these skills, the Nightblade’s benefits to stealth come predominantly from his weapon and armor choices as a class.

When thinking about stealth as a combat tactic in any Elder Scrolls game, consider the following four factors:

1. Footsteps count. An enemy doesn’t need to see the Nightblade to detect him. Lighter armor means lighter footsteps, faster movement and less endurance drain. The Nightblade should choose armor that supports his style of combat, be it taking the hits in face-to-face melee brawls or avoiding the damage entirely by finishing the opponent with a single stealthy blow.

2. Weapons matter. Certain weapons like daggers and similar one-handed instruments of death have innate bonuses to damage done while undetected. The Nightblade should choose his weapons carefully and carry several kinds so that he is prepared for every situation.

3. Location, location, location. If attacking from stealth with a bow, a headshot will do more damage than a body shot. Similarly with one-handed weapons, attacks while undetected will deal more damage if the Nightblade attacks from behind.

4. Turn off the lights. It’s easier for the Nightblade to remain undetected in a dark room. It’s also easier to avoid detection if the enemy has no direct line-of-sight on the Nightblade, so the Nightblade should make use of corners, tables and other obstacles whenever possible. He should always attempt to stay behind his target.

The Nightblade is an Elder Scrolls Online class that combines the deadly stealth of the classic rogue, with some of the destructive capabilities of an evoker, with a dash of alchemy just for laughs. While not as effective at any of these skills as a purer class, the Nightblade is more than just the sum of its parts. This needs to be kept in mind when it comes time to level up.

elder scrolls online leveling guide

Choose Skills Wisely

The Nightblade tends to favor lighter armor and faster weapons, which means that skills have to be carefully considered. Sneak is going to be a prime for most characters, as getting that first slash from the shadows can end combat then and there. Other skills such as Conjuration, Mysticism and Alchemy can add points to one’s reservoir of Magicka as well, which can help fuel spells. Choosing certain attacks and certain spells and focusing on them until they’ve reached the maximum potential is also a good strategy. One will always see more success with specialization then in evenly distributing points to all class abilities.

How to Gain XP Quickly

Elder Scrolls Online is an MMO, and sadly grind is the name of the game when it comes to these challenges. However, there are some things that Nightblades can keep in mind to make sure that leveling is done as quickly as possible.

Refer to elderscrollslevelingguide.com, first and foremost, fight enemies that are strong. Fighting enemies that are stronger than the Nightblade means there’s a bigger amount of XP to go with the bigger challenge involved. To that end it’s important to fight smarter rather than harder, and to attack from a distance, or from the shadows, to make sure the enemy is taken out fast and hard. Nightblades should also be aware of the terrain available in an area so that retreats can be made to heal or dodge away from distance attacks before rejoining the fray.

For Nightblades that want to earn extra XP on their own, take on side quests when they become available rather than when they’re no longer a challenge. According to this guide, join small parties and take on larger threats than members could handle individually to split the XP. If truly necessary Nightblades make a phenomenal player versus player class where it’s possible to fight to the death for XP and items. There will always be some grind involved, but it’s go big or go home.

Few ideas strike fear deeply into the hearts of the brave. By order of their lords, infantry march directly into combat where sword meets shield. However, chaos erupts when utter silence falls, and it is already too late. With arrows flying from every direction, the thunder of a thousand hooves approaches from the rear, and friends turn on each other in fits of madness. When all is silent but the rustle of leaves, and all others drift into a fitting slumber, still does a cold sweat run from the vigilant brow of any experienced watchman. In a matter of seconds, an entire battalion of trained soldiers may fall finally silent in the face of the awesome power of the Nightblade.

Dunmer NightbladeWhile your character’s race is a deeply personal choice, and some players will certainly exercise their right to ignore the bonuses and play an Orsimer healer, Elder Scrolls games of the past have taught us that each race receives certain bonuses which make them more effective in differing roles. While little detail is certain about Bethesda’s upcoming Elder Scrolls Online, inferences can be made based on information released in teasers and promotional material as well as details from previous games. From what we know about the upcoming MMO, the Nightblade class will be a highly mobile, lightly armored elder scrolls class depending heavily on stamina to fulfill the primary DPS role with spells and blades. In the most recently released Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, the Dunmer best fit the Nightblade’s combination of magic and stealth. With bonuses in light armor, sneak, and illusion, a Dunmer acting as a Nightblade in Skyrim could certainly be stealthy. Without affinity for weapon skills, damaging foes early in the game proved difficult, but alchemy and destruction compensated to make the Nightblade an effective combat class overall.

An Introduction to the Elder Scrolls Online Nightblade

Slated for a Spring 2014 release, The Elder Scrolls Online promises to match the series’ deep lore and vast exploration with an all-new combat system, featuring a stable of races and classes both old and new.

While information has been scant thus far, some details of the game’s Nightblade class have been revealed in recent interviews and gameplay teasers. Billed as a stealth class, the Nightblade brings a combination of ranged, melee, and magical combat to the battlefield.

Unlike several of the other revealed classes, the Nightblade traces its origin back to The Elder Scrolls: Oblivion. All signs point to The Elder Scrolls Online following in its footsteps as far as class design is concerned. The Nightblade shares much in common with the typical assassin or thief archetype. Capable of wielding any type of armor and weapon, the Nightblade relies on stealth and magical prowess to defeat its enemies. Destruction magic is utilized for tasks such as draining health, damaging armor, or inflicting direct damage. With the enemy weakened, a blow from their short blade or bow is generally lethal.

The Elder Scrolls Online

Nightblades can also use magic in a more support-oriented role, casting spells to conceal them from sight, open locked doors, or silence their footsteps. This allows them to set up devastating sneak attacks by relying on cunning and mobility. Because of this, the Nightblade will likely be one of the more versatile classes The Elder Scrolls Online. Their combination of skills allows many different approaches to any given situation, whether that means stabbing an enemy in the back, stealing valuable treasure from a locked chest, assassinating targets from a distance, or avoiding combat altogether.

The Elder Scrolls Online does introduce some new changes that are sure to impact the class. Because there are no armor or weapon restrictions, the player will be able to craft distinct playstyles depending on what kind of equipment is used. As with the other classes, the Nightblade will also possess an exclusive Ultimate Ability that will likely have a tremendous effect on how the class operates.

Of the classes revealed thus far, the Nightblade is perhaps shrouded in the most secrecy in terms of exact class mechanics and skill descriptions. While more information will become available as the game closes in on its launch date, it appears that the Nightblade will be the most stealth-centric and possibly the most versatile of the available classes.

Like many MMORPGs, Elder Scrolls Online has a class system; however, gamers will find that it’s a bit less strict than others in the genre. Although a player’s choice of class will determine his character’s basic skill set, gamers have more freedom to choose their character’s weapons and armor, regardless of eso class selection. With fewer restrictions and a smaller set of available classes, Elder Scrolls Online’s system allows players to create a basic definition for their character early in the game without locking themselves into a narrow arc of character progression. Let’s take a look at the four starting character classes available in ESO, and examine the unique abilities attributed to each one.

eso classes

Templar

Templars have a fair amount of offensive skill: they can inflict damages with both weapons and through the magical Sun Strike attack. However, what sets Templars apart is their ability to heal. This restorative spell, known as the Rushed Ceremony, can be applied to all players, not limiting its power to only those players in your party. In a giant battle, this can be a huge asset. They are often described as the “paladin” of Elder Scrolls Online.

Dragonknight

With a repertoire including both offensive and defensive skills, the Dragonknight is a great asset in Elder Scrolls Online combat. In a melee situation, his Fiery Reach ability can attack an opponent from far away with an incendiary chain. The ultimate ability achieved by the Dragonknight is the awesome Dragon Armor, a protective covering of molten lava that sets nearby enemies on fire.

Sorcerer

In battle, the Sorcerer‘s weapon of choice is his staff, through which he wields the power of magicka. Their magical abilities can be divided into three different categories: Dark Magic, Daedric Summoning, and Storm Calling. Dark Magic allows the caster to stun and control even a crowd of foes. Daedric Summoning has the power to call upon helpers such as combat pets, and Storm Calling gives the caster the ability to inflict major damage via Lightning spells.

Nightblade

A somewhat tricky class to play, the Nightblade is an assassin by nature. Stealthy as a ninja, the Nightblade skulks in the shadows wearing only Light Armor, inflicting damage through his sudden attacks with daggers and swords. Due to their ability to sneak through the darkness, Nightblades also excel as thieves. The most important resource pool for this character is Stamina, due to his reliance on stealth for his activities.
